Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Steadio ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service. These terms apply to all merchants who install Steadio on their Shopify store.

2. Description of Service

Steadio is an AI-powered post-shipment operations tool for Shopify merchants. The Service monitors shipments, detects exceptions (delays, failed deliveries, lost packages), generates customer communications, and provides a customer-facing support widget. The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze shipping data and recommend or execute resolution actions.

3. Account and Access

You access Steadio through your Shopify store admin. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. You must not share your Shopify access credentials or Steadio API keys with unauthorized parties.

4. Plans and Billing

  • Steadio offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
  • After the trial, you must select a paid plan to continue using the Service.
  • Plans are billed monthly through Shopify's billing system.
  • Usage is measured by the number of orders processed per month. Exceeding your plan's order limit may result in reduced service or a prompt to upgrade.
  • Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days' notice.

5. AI-Generated Content

Steadio uses AI to generate customer communications, support responses, and resolution recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing escalated issues and approving actions that involve refunds, reshipments, or other financial commitments. Steadio is not liable for losses resulting from AI-generated communications sent without merchant review.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other merchants' use
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse API access

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Steadio, you consent to the collection and processing of data as described in that policy. You represent that you have the right to share your customers' data with Steadio for the purpose of providing post-shipment support.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime. The Service depends on third-party providers (Shopify, EasyPost, carrier APIs) whose availability is outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steadio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Steadio from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Steadio at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your Shopify store at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
